Multispecialty ICU facility for both adult and pediatric care as a part of preparedness for Covid third wave.
Bengaluru Rural, September 6, 2021: If medical experts are to be believed, Bengaluru Urban and Rural alike have to be prepared for the third wave of COVID.
AGI Milltec, a leading End to End solution provider for grain processing, manufacturing reliable equipment for Storage (SILO), Par Boiling, Rice milling, Pulses, Seeds, Maize and Multi-commodity processing decided to set up a multispecialty ICU of 10 beds in Government Hospital in Anekal, 30 kms from the city of Bengaluru, as a part of their CSR initiative, to cater to the town of Anekal and surrounding villages in case of any emergencies.
The 10- bed ICU facility equipped with critical medical equipment like ICU cots, oxygenated beds and ventilators for both adult and pediatric care, was inaugurated by Ravindranath R, Managing Director, AGI Milltec, J Rajendran, Managing Director, AGI Milltec ,CEO Rajan Aggarwal, Managing Director, AGI Milltec in the presence of Dr. Nalini V, Administrative Medical Officer (AMO) of Government Hospital Anekal.
Speaking on the inauguration of the facility, Mr J. Rajendran, Managing Director, AGI Milltec said, “During the peak of the second wave I witnessed that the biggest issues healthcare faced were lack of ICU beds and equipment. This ward which has been set up today will ensure prompt care and attention during the pandemic.”
Mr. Rajan Aggarwal, CEO of AGI Milltec said, “AGI Milltec’ s CSR initiative has always been towards education and disaster management, and this is our first CSR initiative towards healthcare development keeping the rural development & third wave in our mind. “
“The 10 bed ICU facility was set up at a cost of Rs 1.5 crores and will provide lifesaving care to adults and children. The unit is also equipped with critical medical equipment which includes ICU cots, oxygenated beds and ventilators,” Mr R Ravindranath Managing Director of AGI Milltec added.
This is a great initiative towards enhancing the availability of ICU beds and equipment for the hospital to gear up for the pandemic and be a lending support for the covid warriors and society.
