Bengaluru, 2nd April: On Saturday, petrol and diesel prices were raised by 80 paise per litre. Taking the total increase to 5.88 rupees in Bengaluru since March 23. Rates may vary in different states depending upon the incidence of local taxation.
On March 23rd, the price of petrol in Bengaluru was Rs 102.26. The fuel price didn’t hike on the 24th of March and the 1st of April. On Saturday, petrol cost Rs 108.14 per litre. On Thursday, the opposition protested outside the Parliament. Rahul Gandhi garlanded a scooter and an LPG cylinder in an emblematic protest near Vijay Chowk. Sushmita Dev, a TMC Rajya Sabha MP, described the price increase as blatant loot of the common man. Communist Party of India (Marxist) has announced a country wide protest on Saturday.
