Bangalore , 28th February, 2022: India’s largest “Maha Kubera Yagam” for Global economic peace and prosperity is scheduled to take place from 17th to 23rd April 2022 (Sunday–Saturday) @ The world’s first Kubera Temple where Sankhunidhi and Padmanidhi are combined, Chalavara, Palakkad district of Kerala. Located 10 kms away from Shoranur, just two hours from three International Airports of Kochi, Kozhikode and Coimbatore. The Maha Kubera Yagam is organised by Sri Lord Kubera Trust.
This is the one and only place of worship in the world where Lakshmi Vinayaga, Mahalakshmi, Sri Krishna and Kubera are worshipped with Sankhunidhi and Padmanidhi combined. The Kubera Temple is a school of financial discipline, and a place of worship rolled into one.
The seven-day yagam will be performed in 10.5 Acre of Yagya Bhoomi named “Kuberapuri” and guided on Mahavedi by Yaga Yajamana (Master of the Yaga) Vaidik Cherumukku Vaidikan Vallabhan Akkithirippad as its Acharya. This unique yagam announces by none other than Naduvil Madom Achyutha Bharathi Swamikal, who is also the Pushpanjali Swamikal of Sree Padmanabha Temple, Thiruvananthapuram, in the lineage of Vilvamangalam Swamikal on Sunday, 17th April, 2022 in Chalavara.
Though, it is going to be performed after 700 years, all measures have been taken in advance to ensure the authenticity of rituals at the Maha Kubera Yagam. The first yagam will be conducted by Kubera himself. The legend after being expelled from Lanka, the island city he built, Kubera administered the yagam on the banks of river Saraswathi. It is believed that Mahadeva blessed Kubera with a town called Alakapuri and crowned him as Yaksharaja and made him the custodian of all the riches.
Commenting on the most awaited Maha Kubera Yagam, Shri. Jithin Jayakrishnan, Managing Trustee, Sri Kubera Temple said, “We are extremely happy and blessed to organise this India’s first-ever Maha Kubera Yagam at this juncture as Covid-19 has pushed millions of people into extreme poverty this year, and we invite people from across the globe to be a part of this yagam and experience the divine grace emanating from the Yaga Bhoomi and move towards economic peace and prosperity.”
He added, “The concept of this Yagam is ‘Vitta Kaamo Yajetaa’ is not only aims at uplifting a person socially and economically but also charts out the best possible life for their family, village or nation as a whole”.

Yaga Bhoomi have two Vedhi/sections: Mahavedi & Agamavedi. Special poojas will be performed every day at Agamavedi in the esteemed presence of eminent scholars and priests from Malliyoor, Mookambika temple, Pathirakunnathu Mana, Mannarasala, Tirupathi, Pazhani, Badrinath and many more.
