April 5th , 2022: Project based learning school Tapas organized Varshik Utsav for its students at their BSK Campus. It was a completely child led event and was a culmination of the fun and learning through the year as a celebration. The week long celebration was to laud the development that the learners have acquired and also their grit and determination shown during the year. All the activities during the event were based on the Gruffalo series books that was explored as part of their literature circle during the final project of the year.
To begin with, Board games were the first activity which the students organized and participated in. The games were created from scratch by recycling waste materials around them I.e. parcel boxes, tissue rolls, crumpled paper balls etc. Second activity was book reading in which beautiful stories were illustrated and created by the students themselves. Following this there were activities like Shadow puppet show by creating a puppet theater by the students under expert guidance. The learners displayed their writing skills by detailing the story accompanied with the beautifully created puppets. Students also organized a play three little pigs in which they interacted with an architect, town planner, interior designer and more people to understand and create a plan for home in accordance to the client requirements The event was closed by a beautiful dance and book launch in which the literature circle encouraged learners to immerse themselves into the world of books, which improved their reading, writing as well as imagination.
