Bengaluru, May 1: The MYM of Central Bengaluru organised an outreach program at a slum in Sumanhalli on Sunday. Around 120 homes received some essential items by the MYM members. Mats, Water vessel and Food packets were distributed to the residents of Devraj URS colony.
Over 400 people stay at the Slum and the living condition over there is unhygienic and deteriorating. The people in this area are mostly laborer. The food was distributed to everyone in the colony and the essential items like water vessel and mats were distributed in group and door to door campaign as well.
“They build our homes and the city, it is a small step to uplift them for their hard work. We all are here not to distribute any items but items which they will need throughout the year.” Rohit Kedia told TWI during an interview
