Hyderabad/ Hanamkonda 23rd May 2022: MaxiVision Eye Hospitals group, pioneers in the industry of eye care medical services, has launched its new Super Specialty annexe to their Eye hospital in Hanamkonda, Warangal today.

Speaking on the Occasion, Dr.Sharat Babu Chilukuri, Managing Director of Sharat Maxivision Eye Hospitals said: “With this additional 12000 square feet space, added to existing 22000 sft, Sharat Maxivision Eye Hospital, Warangal, will be one of the largest eye hospitals in Warangal region, with 34000 square feet, with all Super Specialty Eyecare under one roof.
During the past 2 years, we had expanded our network to Karimnagar, Khammam with Super specialty Eye care hospitals and started 6 vision centers with primary eye care facilities in deep rural taluks of Telangana. Warangal hospital was getting a lot of patients referred from various parts of the districts, and also from our own branches for Tertiary care facilities. Our patients through Arogyasree and EHS Schemes were also increasing, and we needed more space to cater to the increasing patient base. The new hospital space can host over 650 patients per day, with all the patient care facilities, and amenities, special lounges for VIP Patients, fast-track consultation processes, and dedicated space of 18000 square feet to treat all Arogyasree patients. The building is centrally located in Hanumakonda, Warangal with ample car parking facilities. This will be a Super Tertiary Eye care center with all the latest technologies, like Micro Incision Phaco Surgeries, Advanced Laser correction for plus and minus powers, Surgical and Diabetic Retina units, Robotic Cataract Surgeries, Glaucoma, Cornea, and Paediatric Eye Care clinics all under one roof. The hospital will now have 6 Operation Theatres, 50 beds, and spacious lounge for the patient waiting area, much bigger Optical Stores, an advanced laboratory facility managed by Neuberg Diagnostics, and also a 20-hour Pharmacy Outlet.
“The hospital will also have advanced and exclusive Myopia Clinic and presbyopia clinic with senior technicians, and doctors, and also an Eye Bank is in the plan. For the past several years, Sharat Maxivision Eye Hospitals has various fellowship programs for eye doctors, in India and abroad, Adding to this, we will also start a College of Optometry to give technical skills education in eye care and employment opportunities to young undergraduates, employment opportunity in eye care industry”- Dr.Annapoorna added.
Dr.Sharat Babu, Senior Surgeon, and Dr.Annapoorna, Senior Refractive Surgeon, along with a team of 6 Senior Surgeons in various specialties, will manage the clinics and surgeries. There are around 200 Patient care teams including Optometrists, and qualified nurses to take care of the patients round the clock
A chain of 6 Vision Centers across North Telangana, in Mulkanoor, Kothakonda, Mulugu, Asifabad, Parkala, and Narsampet, was launched at this event. Vision Centers are primary eye care centers, with basic eye care diagnostics, and teleophthalmology in deep rural Telangana, to cater to the large population in these areas, who do not have the means to travel to big cities for routine eye care. Those who are identified with serious vision defects and need surgical intervention are transported to the nearest branch of the group and dropped back at their town. Dr.Sharat Babu also plans to take Sharat MaxiVision Eye Hospitals to Nizamabad, Nalgonda, Sangareddy, and Miryalaguda.
