Orient Electric Limited, part of the diversified USD 2.4 billion CK Birla Group, organised Dealer meet for its Fans business recently in Bangalore, Karnataka. The meet was attended by close to 300 dealers and retailers. The dealer meet was conducted as part of the company’s plans to connect and engage with the retail partners and strengthen its distribution and reach in the state of Karnataka. The company also announced the launch of its Direct-to-Dealer distribution approach in the region.

Orient Electric’s MD & CEO, Rakesh Khanna and Executive Vice President, Atul Jain were present at the event. Speaking about Orient’s fans range, they said that the company has an eclectic mix of fans to suit every space and need. They talked about energy efficient fans in particular and said that the demand for these fans is growing fast with the rise of environmentally conscious consumerism and the Government’s push for energy conservation. In line with this, the company is offering a wide range of BLDC fans which consume 50% less energy as compared to ordinary fans thus promising a significant reduction in electricity bills for consumers. Orient Electric is also the leading brand in the premium fans segment.

While interacting, Mr Atul Jain highlighted the significance of Bangalore market for their Fans business. There is a huge demand for fans in the state and the company is aggressively working to strengthen its reach to ensure that Orient fans are available in most of the electrical outlets.

Orient Electric is the largest manufacturer and exporter of fans from India with a presence in over 35 international markets. In the domestic market, it has penetration up to the small towns with a retail reach of 1 lakh retail outlets and has a strong service network covering 144 cities aided with a 24×7 call center.
