Bengaluru, India, May 6, 2024: Micron Foundation and the United Way of Hyderabad (UWH) joined forces to award scholarships to 60 deserving students from top Indian engineering institutions. This initiative, part of the University Research Alliance Micron (URAM) program, aims to empower students pursuing B.Tech (3rd semester) and M.Tech (1st year) in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, and Electronics & Computer Engineering.

Scholarships worth up to ₹80,000 each prioritize inclusivity, with 16 female and 10 Persons with Disabilities (PwD) recipients. Participating institutions include IIT Delhi, IIIT Bangalore, IIT Gandhinagar, and more.

A rigorous selection process involving 2,677 applications from 494 institutes across India identified 60 exceptional students based on merit and technical assessments. This initiative empowers students for academic success and fulfilling careers in technology, contributing to India’s growth as a semiconductor powerhouse while promoting diversity within the industry.
