Bangalore, 16th January 2025: In a collaborative effort to uphold road safety and promote awareness of traffic rules among the public, students from CMR University and CMRIT organized an awareness program as part of National Road Safety Week 2025. The event took place on January 16th near the Kundalahalli gate and Brookfield signals, involving the active participation of over 50 enthusiastic students.
As part of the event, students rallied through the roads near campus holding placards displaying key road safety messages and conducted interactive sessions by directly engaging with commuters to raise awareness about the need for adopting safe road practices.
This initiative was undertaken as part of the ongoing National Road Safety Week 2025 activities, which aim to inspire citizens to prioritize safety while traveling. Both CMR University and CMRIT reiterated their commitment to organizing similar programs in the future to foster a culture of safe driving and contribute to the reduction of road accidents.
The event was organized in collaboration and support of the HAL Traffic Police, with Constable Ms. Shaziya providing invaluable guidance throughout the campaign. This unique initiative is aimed at spreading crucial messages on road safety, emphasizing the importance of following traffic rules, wearing helmets, using seat belts, and avoiding distractions while driving.
Speaking on the occasion, Constable Ms. Shaziya highlighted the significance of partnerships between educational institutions and law enforcement agencies in fostering a safer road environment.
