Bangalore, March 4, 2025 – The third day of the 16th Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFes) offered a diverse program, featuring insights into a blockbuster film, discussions with international directors, and a look at the future of regional content.

“Amaran” Making of:

  • A detailed workshop explored the creation of the 2024 hit “Amaran,” with director Rajkumar Periasamy, cinematographer Ch Sai, actress Sugamya Sankar, and editor R. Kalaivanan.
  • The panel discussed the challenges of biopic filmmaking, including extensive research, technical aspects, budgeting, and casting.
  • The decision to frame the story through the perspective of Major Mukund’s wife, Indu, was highlighted as a key element for emotional depth.
  • Director Periasamy also addressed the difficulties of filming, such as securing military permissions and navigating environmental challenges.

International Directors’ Press Conference:

  • Two panels of directors whose films are featured at BIFFes engaged in discussions moderated by N Vidyashankar.
  • Directors including Dr. Jayanta Madhab Dutta, Vinod Kapri, Dastan Zhapar Ryskeldi, Edgar Baghdasaryan, Samik Roy Choudhury, Sudhir Singh, Nanda Kishore Emani, and Dr. Bobby Sarma shared insights into their films and creative processes.
