Bangalore, March 4, 2025 – The third day of the 16th Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFes) offered a diverse program, featuring insights into a blockbuster film, discussions with international directors, and a look at the future of regional content.
“Amaran” Making of:
- A detailed workshop explored the creation of the 2024 hit “Amaran,” with director Rajkumar Periasamy, cinematographer Ch Sai, actress Sugamya Sankar, and editor R. Kalaivanan.
- The panel discussed the challenges of biopic filmmaking, including extensive research, technical aspects, budgeting, and casting.
- The decision to frame the story through the perspective of Major Mukund’s wife, Indu, was highlighted as a key element for emotional depth.
- Director Periasamy also addressed the difficulties of filming, such as securing military permissions and navigating environmental challenges.
International Directors’ Press Conference:
- Two panels of directors whose films are featured at BIFFes engaged in discussions moderated by N Vidyashankar.
