CHENNAI, INDIA — Apparel Manufacturers of India (AMI), a leading trade group representing garment manufacturers and distributors, has announced the return of its flagship trade event, ADVAIT 8.0. The three-day exhibition will take place at the RK Convention Centre in Chennai from August 5 to August 7, 2026.
Occupying 100,000 square feet of exhibition space, ADVAIT 8.0 features over 220 apparel brands from key manufacturing hubs across India, including Mumbai, Indore, and Surat. The trade fair offers multi-brand outlets (MBOs), regional retailers, and international buyers direct access to vetted, verified manufacturers presenting their latest festive collections and upcoming fashion trends ahead of the major shopping season.
Founded in 2018, ADVAIT—a Sanskrit term meaning “unique”—was established to strengthen business connections across the apparel supply chain. To date, AMI has organized more than 50 zonal and regional trade fairs across South India, serving as a primary bridge between manufacturers, distributors, and retail networks.
“We are thrilled to bring ADVAIT back to Chennai as the festive retail cycle ramps up,” said Dharmesh Nandu, Founder of Apparel Manufacturers of India. “South India’s evolving retail footprint, accelerated by the expansion of large-format stores, offers immense potential for growth. ADVAIT 8.0 enables manufacturers to present fresh collections tailored directly to the demands of this vibrant regional market.”
The Indian apparel industry is projected to reach $117.05 billion by 2034, driven by growing consumer demand for value-driven and festive fashion. With shifting consumption patterns and favorable store economics throughout Southern India, the market remains a key focus for national brands expanding their regional distribution channels.
ADVAIT 8.0 provides a streamlined platform for wholesale sourcing, business networking, and market expansion for the Indian garment industry.
