Wizz Financial Launches Unified App - thisweekindia

Bangalore, India, September 12, 2026 . Global Fintech Fest (GFF)— Wizz Financial has officially launched the Wizz Financial App, an all-in-one neobanking platform designed to unify global remittance, foreign exchange, and domestic digital payments onto a single rail. Building on its physical footprint of over 360 branches serving 5 million customers across 22 Indian states, the app bridges international financial corridors with India’s digital payment infrastructure.

The platform provides a broad suite of financial tools, including cross-border inward and outward remittances, multi-currency prepaid cards, localized lending solutions, bill payments, mobile recharges, and travel and visa assistance.

At the core of the platform is SWITCH, Wizz Financial’s proprietary interoperability engine. SWITCH acts as a digital bridge between the company’s regional applications across the US, UAE, and India, while integrating with participating third-party wallets. Supported by a proprietary payout network spanning over 80 countries, the engine enables cross-border money movement across key economic corridors.

By interfacing directly with India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI), the app enables real-time transfers into Indian UPI accounts directly from the US and UAE. Furthermore, through the UPI One World framework, eligible international visitors, residents, and non-resident Indians (NRIs) can make instant, cashless QR code payments across India within regulatory limits.

“UPI is one of the most powerful pieces of public digital infrastructure the world has ever built,” said Amir Nagammy, Founder & Group CEO of Wizz Financial. “We have followed the Prime Minister’s vision for UPI from the very beginning, and I am prouder than ever that Wizz Financial is now helping carry that vision beyond India’s borders. With SWITCH, we are bringing payments, wallets, and cross-border money movement together across the US, UAE, and India, so that residents, non-residents, and international customers can all move money through the same trusted rails.”

Krishnan R, Director & CEO of Wizz Financial India, highlighted the platform’s hybrid approach: “Wizz Financial has built the trust of millions of customers in India through accessibility and service excellence. By combining our nationwide branch presence with our digital capabilities, we are giving customers a simpler and more convenient way to access and manage their financial needs.”

The launch marks a key milestone in Wizz Financial’s broader strategy to deliver a seamless, hybrid financial platform connecting consumers and businesses across India, the GCC, Southeast Asia, and the United States.
