BENGALURU | November 4, 2026 — In light of the upcoming Diwali festivities, Vasan Eye Care Hospital, Bommanahalli, has initiated a specialized ‘Safe Diwali Eye Awareness Program’ dedicated to preventing eye injuries among children. Running from November 4 to November 12, 2026, this campaign is designed exclusively for children under 15 years of age.
The program focuses on educating both parents and children about essential safety measures during Diwali, highlighting the risks posed by firecrackers, sparks, and chemical pollutants.
During the launch event, leading ophthalmologists from the hospital—Dr. Veena, Dr. Varsha, and Dr. Mehak Bhandari—guided the public on preventive care and detailed the necessary first-aid responses in the event of an eye emergency.
