Bangalore, 27 November 2024: Ashoka Innovators for the Public, which supports the largest network of social entrepreneurs, has organised a 2 day convening to bring key senior leaders from different parts of the country. Ashoka is bringing some of the key leaders already part of its network along with few leaders beyond its current network on this week

Senior Leaders Building a Collective Road Map

Leaders at all levels are at the heart of building every societal framework. To answer that challenge, Ashoka brought some key senior leaders together. The event had a roundtable, a few small groups and peer to peer conversations.

Dr. Shruti Nair, Regional Leader, Ashoka Innovators for the Public, mentioned that “through this small group of entrepreneurs we are jointly imagining a Peer to Peer network for discussing how India can unleash the changemaker ability across society.”

The 2 day event brought together entrepreneurs from various organizations and experience for two-day meetings over the weekend to learn together, share challenges and discuss best practices.

The meetings focused on the key agenda of how can we all create systems for an “Everyone A Changemaker” society. It also helped participants share ideas, questions and perspectives in a setting with peers who understand the overall entrepreneurial journey. Members learnt to leverage their time, expertise and knowledge to a high degree of impact.

Speaking at the event Senior Ashoka Fellow and Magsaysay awardee, Bezwada Wilson shared how growing up he stood for an injustice he witnessed which started his changemaker journey at a very young age.

Phanindra Sama the founder of Redbus highlights the importance of starting at a very young age to develop the mindset and abilities of being a changemaker.

The outcome of the event is expected to start building a team of like-minded individuals who are committed to create a society where Everyone could be a changemaker.

The event culminated with a framework for building a blueprint and mapping different partners for this new societal framework.
