Amazon provides opportunities for over 6500 associates this shopping season
Bengaluru, January 14, 2018— Amazon today announced that it has created more than 5500 seasonal positions across its India network of fulfillment centers, sortation centers and delivery stations this shopping season. In addition, Amazon’s customer service sites have added close to 1000 more associates to cater to the increased customer demand. Furthermore, its Service Partner stations which are spread across the country have also hired additional seasonal associates to enable faster deliveries for the Great Indian Sale (January 20 – 24, 2018). These positions have been created in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, and many other cities across the country.
“In our effort to provide a seamless shopping experience, we areexcited to announce that we are enhancing our teams significantly with morethan 6500 associates working in the Amazon fulfilment network and customerservice sites. This enhancement will be instrumental in driving an exceptionalexperience during the upcoming Great Indian Sale. These thousands ofassociates will help in augmenting our capabilities to serve ourcustomers better and enable us to deliver consistently high levels of customerexperience”, said Akhil Saxena, Vice President – India CustomerFulfilment, Amazon India.
Associates who havebeen provided opportunities specifically for the festive season will join thethousands of associates at Amazon’s 41 fulfillment centers, more than 25 sortcenters, close to 150 delivery stations and 350 Service Partner stations acrossthe country to help pick, pack, ship and deliver customers’ orders moreefficiently. Amazon has 13 Customer Service sites across 12 cities and providesvoice support for customers in Kannada, English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. TheCustomer Service sites support Amazon customers in India with pre and postorder customer service through various mediums like email, chat, social mediaand phone.
