Azim Premji University announces admissions for M.Ed. Programme 2018-20
Bengaluru, May 04, 2018: Azim Premji University announces admissions to its M.Ed. Programme (Master of Education) 2018-20. The NCTE approved M.Ed. programme aims to develop teacher educators with sound disciplinary knowledge along with critical perspectives on education and capable of analysis, reflection and meaningful action.
This will bea full time programme based at Bangalore. The programme consists of CoreCourses, Electives (Disciplinary areas and Advanced educational studies),Workshop courses and a compulsory Dissertation. The disciplinary focus will beScience and Mathematics Education. Students will have field engagement in allthe Semesters. Members of our faculty are accomplished academicians, teachereducators, researchers, teachers and agents of social transformation.

Eligibility: The eligibility criteria forthe M. Ed. Programme (as per the NCTE norms) are as below
a) Undergraduatedegree in Sciences/ Mathematics/Engineering with at least 50% marks orequivalent.
b) Teachereducation degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent in any one of thefollowing
-B.Ed.,B.Sc.B.Ed., B.El.Ed. (with optional Mathematics / Science),
-D.El.Ed. with an Undergraduate Degree(with 50% marks in each).
Relevantschool teaching experience and/or a Master’s degree in Science/Mathematics willbe an added advantage
Admissionprocess and dates: Studentscan apply online on the University website. Applicants will be selectedbased on a written test and personal interview for shortlisted candidates.Applications for admissions close on May 15, 2018, followed by anentrance test on May 27, 2018and interviews thereafter. Theacademic session starts in July 2018.
