“Facilities Management Council ”to work towards propagating “Handloom Monday”in the IT industry
Hyderabad, November 17, 2017…..Facilities Management Council(FMC) Telangana, the professional body of Facilities Management industry in the Telangana State announced that it would work towards propagating “Handloom Monday” in the IT Industry. Nearly four lakh people work in the IT Industry in the city. And if some of them start wearing Handloom clothes at least one day in a week i.e on Monday, it will give a great boost says Satyanarayana Mathala, President of FMC. We have administered an oath to 250 FMC and IT professionals to wear Handloom clothes every Monday recently at its “5th Annual Facilities Management Council Summit” held in the city informed Satyanarayana Mathala, President of FMC. These include Facilities Management Professionals from IT, ITes, BPO, KPO, Animation, Gaming and Pharmaceuticals. Everyone must encourage and support to uplift handloom industry to restore its last glory, said Satyanarayana.
To facilitate peoplebuy handloom clothes, we have set up a stall at the “5th AnnualFacilities Management Council Summit” Industriesand Handlooms Minister KT Rama Rao,who had earlier got all government employees to wear handloom clothes once aweek, has requested employees in the InformationTechnology sector to follow suit to promote handlooms and encouragesales of the same in the State. Infact the Handlooms and Textiles department is puttingall out efforts to improve the designs and make handloomgarments more appealing to the present generation, stated Satyanarayana.
