FKCCI signs MoU with Indo American Chamber of Commerce, Karnataka Chapter

Bengaluru, 7th February, 2019: The Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI) today announced its partnership with Indo American Chamber of Commerce, Karnataka Chapter to facilitate the exchange of information and collaborate for organizing the ASEAN Chambers of Commerce & Industry Business Meet. The MoU was signed to facilitate international synergies between India, ASEAN, ASEAN Plus and Special Invitee countries.

The three-day conference which is being organized by FKCCI in collaboration with the state government will be inaugurated by Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi in the presence of other international and national business leaders. 

“I want to thank the Indo American Chamber of Commerce, Karnataka Chapter for their help in putting this trade mission together. This initiative will open up new avenues to promote the industries and trade between our countries, resulting in mutually beneficial association for both nations,” said Sudhakar Shetty, President, Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The visit to New Delhi included a briefing with Mr. Syed Mohid Altaf, Special Representative of Karnataka Government to Delhi where they discussed about the developments of ASEAN Chambers of Commerce and Industry Business Meet.

In New Delhi, the FKCCI delegates also met with Shri. Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister for Road, Transport & Highways, Shipping & Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India at his residence along with Shri. P C Mohan, Hon’ble MP, Lok Sabha; Shri. Prabhakar Khore, Hon’ble MP, Rajya Sabha; Shri. Shivashanmugan, Past President, FKCCI; and Shri. N Satish, Chairman, Industry Committee, FKCCI.

This 3-day summit will be the first of its kind as there has not been any meet of the major Chambers of Commerce of ASEAN PLUS and that too in Bengaluru. The International Business Meet will bring together the Chambers of Commerce, Exporters and Importers of ASEAN, ASEAN Plus countries along with some Special Invitee countries, High-profile conference delegates from India & Overseas, C Level and Top management of Leading Corporates and Industry, Bureaucrats, Policy Makers and Heads of PSUs and Members of National and State Industry Associations on a single platform to promote Trade, Business and Investments for mutual benefit of both the host country as well as the participating countries.

The Business meet aims to create a high-level networking ground for people to explore new collaborations and showcase new products to stakeholders. It can also help trade bodies of all partner countries to enhance trade & business of these countries and also of their members with each other.
