FREE TUITION FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED STUDENTS
Bengaluru In collaboration with Realtics Company, Lovedale Foundation organized a program on after school tuition for the children from neighboring slums such as Kamakhya, Hittmandu and Syndicate bank colony. The main purpose of this program was to support the children in order to yield quality education and mold them to become a dignified person in future. The tuition program will be held every day from 5:00pm-7:00pm except on Saturday, when the duration will be from 3:00-5:00pm. For an initial start, one teacher has been appointed for teaching the students. The students range from III to X standard and they will be learning all the subjects within the framework. The total number of students who have enrolled so far for the free tuition is 25.
The inauguration programme for the same was held on earlier this week at Realtics Company in Syndicate Bank colony, Kathriguppe. The programme started from 5:00pm and ended at 8:00pm. About 20 children, the teachers, Executive Director, Finance Manager and program coordinators of Lovedale Foundation attended the event.
The event started with a welcome speech and introduction by Mrs. Regina, program coordinator of Lovedale. This was followed by prayer song by the students. The inauguration of the event, by lighting the lamp, was done by Mr. Chandra Shekher, Mrs. JenyVerma, and Mrs. Regina. After the formal program, the staff of Realtics distributed stationary to all the children. In addition dinner was provided to all the participants making the event a grand success which added another feather to Lovedale Foundation.
