Girls should be aware about the hygiene issues and Good and Bad touch: Dr. Aruna Kalra
Gurugram, 29 January, 2018: Rashtra Hit Sewa Sangathan an extension of Rotary Club, Gurgaon organised a health and hygiene awareness camp for young girls. The event was organised to spread the awareness among young girls not only about the hygiene but also about their daily diet and other problems like menstrual cycles and how to deal with it.
There weremany eminent personalities present in the event to give their support to thismeaningful cause. Senior Gynaecologist and Director of the CK Birla Hospital,Gurgaon, Dr. Aruna Kalra was also present in the event and shared her valuablethoughts with the young girls. Speaking about the event Dr Kalra said, “Thereis a need to spread the awareness among young girls about balanced iron andprotein rich diet, importance of exercise and outdoor games for their overalldevelopment and about hygiene practices during menstrual cycles. If girls werenot aware about these topics then how would they be able to understand theintricacies about these issues.”
Dr. Kalraalso spoke about the Good and Bad Touch and how girls should be trained to dealwith these delicate problems. There are many cases coming up across the countryabout sexual assault with young school going girls. That is why it is moreimportant to spread awareness on these issues.
Youngparticipants were very much engaged in the whole session and eager to gainknowledge and awareness from the speakers. The event was very successful asmany participants actively participated and enjoyed the newly gainedknowledge.Rashtra Hit Sewa Sangathan promised to organised many suchevents in the future also.
