GROHE Celebrates Christmas at GROHE Dual Tech

Spreading Christmas cheers, GROHE, the no. 1 international sanitary fittings brand in the country, celebrated Christmas at GROHE Dual Tech. Staying true to its social commitment towards the youth from economically challenged backgrounds, GROHE offered a fun filled experience to its students at GROHE Dual Tech this Christmas on December 23, 2016.

The program started with a prayer service, where Rev Fr Colbert gave a heartfelt Christmas message urging students to inculcate the value of Giving, the essence of Christmas. This was followed with an AV presentation depicting the birth of Jesus.

Prior to the celebrations active participation was witnessed from amongst stakeholders – Students, faculty and staff alike, who came together to mark the occasion and decked up the campus with Christmas decorations. On the 23rd Dec morning at 8:30 am the staff and students assembled in Rev. Fr Santino Mondini Hall. The occasion was graced by Rev Fr Colbert da Silva, Rector Director of DBCL Kurla, Rev Fr. Cyril de Souza Campus Minister and Rev Fr. Joe Braganza Exec Director. 

The Coir under the direction of Mr. Alan sang melodious Christmas carol, followed by Santa Claus distributing Christmas sweets and goodies. Amongst all gifts and goodies was a special gift in the form of a letter, addressed to Mr. Amarr Prabhu, the Principal. The letter had a task that required all trainees to be ‘Messengers of Peace’ to every one they meet. The program was concluded with a vote of thanks by the Principal followed by Christmas jam sessions and snacks, before everyone left for their Christmas vacations.

These festivities build a stronger bond among us and also strengthen to bring a positive change to the lives of people associated with us directly or indirectly.”

GROHE, in association with Don Bosco Learning Center trains young people in the region by imparting high-quality training programme in certified plumbing. GROHE Dual Tech aims to enhance the professionalism of the local plumbing trade. The institute addresses the dual need of the industry – on one hand it supports the youth from economically challenged backgrounds with skill development, while on the other, fill the skilled-labour supply gap.

GROHE Dual Tech, established in 2009 in Don Bosco Mumbai, is anaward-winning aid project recognised by the German Federal Ministry forEconomic Cooperation and Development for its innovation and significant socialimpact. It enrols young people from economically challenged backgrounds whostrive to make a living and enables them to fulfil their true potential viafeasible careers. Apart from the technical aspects, the academy also offerssoft-skills training which includes the development of behavioural skills inareas such as customer relationship, etiquette and work ethics.
