HCL Concerts Debuts in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, 28 December, 2019: HCL Concerts, an initiative by HCL dedicated to promoting and nurturing Indian classical performing arts, hosted itsinauguralconcert in Bengaluru– ‘TRIVAT’ - at Dr B R AmbedkarBhawan, Millers Road.The event witnessed three back-to-back performances by renowned vocalist and playback singer Ronkini Gupta, master percussionist – A. Sivamani and legendary violinist Dr. L Subramaniam.The performances enthralled over 1200 Indian classical music aficionados in the city.

The evening started with amesmerizing performance by the classical vocalist and playback singer, Ronkini Guptawho performed RaagBihag, followed by aMadhya Lay RupakBandish and a Drut lay TeentaalBandish.She was accompanied by Ashish Ragwanion Tablaand Ghulam Ali on Sarangi.

Then a magical solo act by the world-famouspercussionistA. Shivamanikept the audience engaged. In the concluding act, thelegendary violinist and Padma Bhushan recipientDr. L Subramaniam delivered a power packed fusion performance. Dr.Subramaniam was accompanied by AtulRaninga and Frijo Francis on Keyboard, Alwyn Fernandes on Guitar, Keith Peters on Bass Guitar, Prasad Kulkarni on Drums, Supriya Bhattacharya on Congo and Dholak, Tanmoy Bose on Tabla and DSR Murthy on Mridangam.

Bengaluruhas become the 11th city to play host to HCL Concerts after Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, Lucknow, Nagpur, Madurai and Chennai in India, and New York and San Francisco in the US. This concert was also live-streamed on www.hclconcerts.com and the performances will be available there for the next 30 days.
