Hyundai Motor India Limited bags “IEI Industry Excellence Award 2019”
November 8, 2019: Hyundai Motor India Limited was awarded the ‘IEI Industry Excellence Award for the year 2019 by the Institution of Engineers (India) recently. IEI identifies and felicitates companies across sectors for their best-in-class innovations, success stories and stellar performances every year. Mr. Ganesh Mani S (Director, Production) and Mr. JH Lee (Executive Director, Production) received this award from Honorable Minister for Road Transport & Highways of India - Shri. Nitin Gadkari, Prof (Dr.) KK Aggarwal - Chairman of National Board of Accreditation and Dr. Gunaraja T M – President, Institution of Engineers.
15 companies from various sectors were handpicked for this top honor under 9 categories. HMIL is the only auto major to be recognized, on its maiden attempt, for demonstrating the highest order of industry business excellence under the Rs.5000 Cr. and above turnover category. The IEI committee and jury assessed the participants based on their financial performance, manufacturing excellence, innovation, corporate governance, R&D, safety, quality, occupational health, sustainability practices and CSR initiatives.
