Indian Society for Clinical Research’s 11th Annual Conference to focus on Collaborative

Bangalore, January 10th, 2018: Collaborative Clinical Research for Better Patient Outcomes will be the theme of the 11th Annual Conference of the Indian Society for Clinical Research (ISCR) which will be held at JW Marriott, Bangalore, from January 19th to 20th. The two-day event is focused on bringing together different stakeholders across the clinical research continuum on a common platform to deliberate on the future that the clinical research fraternity in India needs to take in an improved regulatory environment.

Stakeholders will meet and deliberate on opportunities to learn, partnerand collaborate while strengthening the ethical conduct of clinical researchand creating better outcomes for patients. India has the second largestpopulation in the world and 1/5th of the global disease burdenand yet, less than 1.4% of global clinical research is conducted in thecountry. Around 400-500 clinical research professionals are expected to attendthe event.

Leading up to the annual conference, five pre-conference workshops havebeen scheduled for the clinical researcher fraternity and medical and pharmastudents on January 17th and 18th. These workshopswill focus on principles of evidence based medicine and its applicability inIndia, career opportunities in clinical research and associated fields,pharmacovigilance (PV) audits and inspections, role of clinical pharmacology indrug discovery and development and risk based monitoring in clinical trials.
