Indians express love for their mother language on International Mother Language Day

International Mother Language Day is celebrated on February 21 since 2000. The day was first recognized in November 1999 by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and later it was welcomed by the UN General Assembly in 2002. India, being a nation of 22 official language with over 6000 dialects, remain relevant to the core of International Mother Language Day.
