India’s largest student housing brand Stanza Living expands into Hyderabad with 2,000 beds

India’s leading student housing brand, Stanza Living, launched student-accommodation operations in Hyderabad with a capacity of 2,000 beds. These professionally-managed, tech-enabled accommodations are present in student-preferred areas of Kukatpally and Nizampet.

The company has an inventory of 22,000 beds across 9 cities in India and will be launching 1,00,000 beds in total by 2021.

As per AISHE 2017-2018, Hyderabad, with around 470 institutes is the third largest student education hub in the country and a leading centre of education in Southern India for diverse graduate and post-graduate programmes. With an average intake of around 70,000 students (As per Telangana State Council of Higher Education), the city sees high enrolments from both domestic and international migrant students. With campus-affiliated hostel facilities being able to accommodate only a certain percentage of the student population, there is a need for high-quality, student accommodations designed to suit their academic and personal requirements.

Stanza Living is laser-focused on this segment, reimagining student living through smart, hospitality-led accommodation. Each Stanza Living accommodation offers beautifully-designed, fully-furnished rooms, interactive entertainment and community areas, chef-designed menu of nutritious regional meals, professional housekeeping services, five-star grade laundry facility, WiFi and 24x7 hi-tech security ecosystem.

Stanza Living also launched its first-of-its-kind programmes Stanza Social and Stanza Springboard, designed to create an exciting student community environment. These programmes offer lots of activities for personal and professional development so students can adjust, live and grow together.

·Stanza Social includes exciting year-long events like movie screenings, sports tournaments, musical nights, festive celebrations and even exclusive offers and deals with local and national brands

·Stanza Springboard complements their academic curriculum with industry-learning with activities like resume-building classes, industry talks, internship opportunities etc.

Speaking about their expansion, Anindya Dutta, Co-founder, Stanza Living, said “There exists a substantial demand-supply gap in student housing segment, which is largely an unorganised real estate asset. There is a critical need for bespoke student housing solutions where students can be assured of comfort, quality and security. Over the years, Hyderabad has become one of the key educational hubs of the country and we feel it will be a high-potential market for us in Southern India, as we target a capacity of 1 lakh beds by 2021.”

Talking about their value offerings, Sandeep Dalmia, Co-founder, Stanza Living, said “At Stanza Living, the key differentiator helping us redefine student living experience is our industry-first, full-stack model of operations, which is enabled through technology. This means that from the very designing of the residential space, to the delivery of services that address student needs - we maintain high-quality, professionally-managed student living ecosystem. Behind this lies the collective expertise of a team of specialists whose student-centric focus has allowed us to precisely target and own every element of a student’s experience for a hassle-free living. “

Backed by global investors like Sequoia Capital, Accel Partners, Matrix Partners and Alteria Capital, the company is the fastest growing student housing brands in the country.  It is currently present in Delhi NCR and Bangalore, expanding simultaneously in Pune, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehardun, Indore and Vadodara.
