Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Bangalore holds its 6th Convocation
Bangalore, May 30, 2017: The Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) – Bangalore held its 6thConvocation of the AICTE-Approved Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital and Health Management (Batch 2015-17) at the institute’s campus. Dr. Sanjiv Kumar, Director-IIHMR Delhi, was the chief guest for the occasion and Mr. Takashi Maki, Director, Sakra World Hospital, Bengaluru was the Guest of Honor. The Chief Guest and Guest of Honor awarded the convocation certificates and gold medals to Dr Lavya N, Tripti Vaidya and Dr Medari S Mukunda, for their exemplary performance.
Like everyyear, students were placed in reputed hospitals, state government institutionsand healthcare IT companies with the highest package of INR 7, 50,000 perannum. The students were recruited by Dell, Deloitte, Allscripts, AsianHeart, Prime Era, Napier Health, NH, RxDx, 108 MEMS, Sapphire Systems, ICTHealth, Infiniti Research, Columbia Asia Hospitals among others.
In hisconvocation address, Dr Sanjiv Kumar, Director-IIHMR Delhi, said, “Quality,accountability, trust, transparency and networking are some of the values thatare inculcated in every student of IIHMR. The students have been given the besttraining and are well-equipped to assist the growing needs of the healthcareindustry.”
Dr S DGupta, Trustee Secretary, IIHMR Society, Jaipur, said, “There is a need for researchfellows in the Indian healthcare industry and for them to explore the ITsectors in Bengaluru. IIHMR encourages its students to think big which enablesthe growth of IIHMR and its role in various national and global health scenes.”
Speaking about achievements of thestudents and their placement organizations, Dr Usha Manjunath,Director-officiating, said, “The healthcare industry is in need oftrained management professionals and IIHMR’s placement records indicate that. Anumber of prestigious organizations have recruited students from IIHMR and itgives us immense pleasure on being able to contribute to the healthcaresector.”
IIHMR(Bangalore) is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), and Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Theannual intake at IIHMR is 60 students a year. During the two-year tenure, thestudents go for training and placement to various hospitals and healthcareorganizations in India and abroad.
