Karnataka invites industries in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad, 27th October 2017:Government of Karnataka aims to leverage on the technology and manufacturing prowess to attain a position of leadership and excellence in manufacturing and overall industrial development. In this regard, Government of Karnataka is organizing Vendor Development and Investors Summit on 23rdand 24thNovember 2017 at BIEC, Bengaluru. The summit will act as a common platform for CPSUs, SPSUs, Mega and Large units in identifying vendors of their choice in terms of production capacity and quality standards. This meet will also help MSMEs understand the need of the OEMs. In addition, this programme will benefit MSMEs in planning their production and product diversification.
Moreimportantly, the Summit will facilitate the participating companies inexploring the investment opportunities in the State of Karnataka and firm uptheir new/expansion investment proposals with the State Government in terms ofproject approvals or MOUs.
To promotethe event among Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) and MSME’s ofHyderabad, Hon’ble Minister for Large & Medium Industries andInfrastructure Development along with Senior officers of Karnataka Governmentvisited Hyderabad today. During the day the delegation met with some of the keyindustries from Hyderabad to invite them to participate in the event and todiscuss their interest in expanding their business in Karnataka. The delegationhad B2G meetings with 17companies covering various sectors.

During themeetings, Hon’ble Minister discussed with the companies the support andfacilitation provided by Government of Karnataka for implementation of theirprojects in the state. He also invited them to participate in the forthcoming“Vendor Development & Investors’ Summit 2017” on 23rd& 24th of November2017 in Bengaluru.
In theevening, Government of Karnataka had organised a Road Show wherein presentationwas made on “Manufacturing Eco system of the State” to the large audiencepresent. More than 150 industry representatives and prospective investorsparticipated in the Road Show.
Hon’bleMinster in his address stated that Government is focused on providing momentumfor imaging itself as the most industry friendly state in the country. Whilefocusing on the growth, we are taking cautious steps to ensure that thedevelopment would not have adverse effects on the environment, people and theecosystem. He also outlined the potential for investments in various sectors inthe state viz. Aerospace & Defence Equipment Manufacturing, Automobiles,Auto components & Electric Vehicles manufacturing, Biotech, Pharmaceuticalsand Medical Devices, Agriculture & Food Processing and Machinery, Textileand Apparels and Innovation & Start-ups among others.
Mr. D VPrasad, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Karnataka, in hisaddress emphasised on the initiatives undertaken by the state to develop theecosystem for the overall industrial development with special focus on the MSMEsectors.
Mr. DeepakSood, CEO, Invest Karnataka Forum, made a detailed presentation in the RoadShow on “Enabling Manufacturing Ecosystem of Karnataka.”
