KMC doctor is Bahamas beach soccer team doctor

Bangalore June 1st ,2017: Dr Sandeep Goud’s love for sports has taken him to where he should belong, at least for now. He was the Bahamas national beach soccer team doctor for The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Bahamas 2017 held from April 28 to May 7. He got the break when he was made the lead venue medical officer at the 2017 CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football) Beach Soccer Championship, Nassau from February 20 to 26, 2017.

He was alsoappointed the medical officer for - IAAF (International Association ofAthletics Federations) /BTC World Relays Bahamas 2017 held from April22-23. A graduate from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore/Manipal, 2001 batch,he did his masters in Orthopedic Surgery from Manipal Hospital, Bangalore. Hewas awarded the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine on April 27 duringthe FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Bahamas 2017.

In October2016, he completed his Diploma in Sports Medicine from the Olympic Committee atLausanne, Switzerland. He was working as Assistant Professor at the MelakaManipal Medical College, Manipal Campus, and is presently working at the PrincessMargaret Hospital, Nassau, Bahamas.
