Kochi to Host India Fashion Summit 2018
The second edition of the India Fashion Summit (IFS), a pioneering only-one-of-its-kind conference on the Indian fashion industry, will be held on March 3, 2018 at Kochi Marriott Hotel. The event is being organised by India Fashion Incubator in association with Kerala State Institute of Design and Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence, Government of Kerala.
Envisaged by eminent fashion journalist, Vinod Nairand Management expert Arun Balachandran, India Fashion Summit 2018 will providean ecosystem for sustainable development of fashion with prime focus onpromoting hand-woven textiles in designer fashion and nurturing exceptionalyoung talents in the field of fashion. IFS proposes to bring together variousfashion stakeholders under one roof and will eventually act as an ecosystem forthe effective policy making, sustainable development and developing designersof the future.
In sync with a premier national conference for thefashion industry, this year's main speakers include pioneers of the industrysuch as leading fashion designers Manish Malhotra, Peter D'Ascoli, WendellRodricks, Arjun Khanna, Suket Dhir, Alan Alexander Kaleekal, Jebin Johny andHari Anand, fashion journalists Anil Chopra (Former CEO, Lakme LeverLtd), Vinod Nair (Former Fashion Editor, Hindustan Times and TimesOf India) and Neena Haridas (Editorial Director, L’Officiel India) and OnlineFashion Retail Heads including Narendra Kumar (Creative Head, Amazon Fashion)and Nihal Rajan, Vice President & Head of Design-MFB @ Myntra Designs.
