LAVAZZA CELEBRATES THE HIGHEST HONOREES IN FILMMAKING
Los Angeles, California (March 1, 2017) –Lavazza, a leading and authentic family-owned Italian coffee company, celebrated the highest honorees in filmmaking as the Official Coffee of the 15th annual “Night Before” party to benefit MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund) at FOX Studios in Los Angeles. For the second year in a row, Lavazza was joined by a star-studded host committee, Academy Awards® nominees and presenters, and some of the most powerful film industry influencers. The annual event raised $5 million, totaling just over $75 million in the event’s history.
The “Night Before,” held annually the night before the Academy Awards® has become one of the most coveted invitations since its inception in 2003. The 2017 host committee included a lineup of the industry’s most elite talent, including Amy Adams & Darren Le Gallo, Casey Affleck, Javier Bardem, Jessica Biel & Justin Timberlake, Tanya Haden Black & Jack Black, Kate Capshaw & Steven Spielberg, Jessica Chastain, Amal & George Clooney, Tom Cruise, Luciana & Matt Damon, Viola Davis & Julius Tennon, Leonardo DiCaprio, Chris Evans, Jake Gyllenhaal, Brie Larson, Janelle Monáe, Dev Patel, Natalie Portman, Jada Pinkett Smith & Will Smith, Octavia Spencer, Emma Stone, Alicia Vikander, Pauletta & Denzel Washington, Reese Witherspoon, and more.
Attendees enjoyed traditional Lavazza coffee creations including the signature Coffeetail No. 51 (a cocktail made with Lavazza cold-brew coffee, vodka and ginger ale) crafted by the master experts of the Lavazza Training Center - the Turin-based center of excellence that has been providing training and information about the culture of Italian espresso worldwide for over 30 years. Guests at the Lavazza dedicated corner also sampled KAFA espresso, a Lavazza single origin product that will be relaunched in 2017 in the United States with a new, even more exclusive look and feel.
Lavazza also surprised guests with tailor-made cappuccinos with personalized foam. Attendees were able to take and share photos via tablet and enjoy a personalized Lavazza cappuccino with the corresponding image printed in the foam in few seconds.
This year the Lavazza coffee experience was additionally offered at the Golden Globe Awards Lounge at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
