Liberty Shoes participates in the CSR initiatives BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAO Of the Haryana Govt.

30th May 2018: Liberty Shoes Ltd. as a responsible corporate, participated in a noble CSR initiative BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAO of the Haryana Government and have contributed in its own way to make the Girls attend schools on a regular basis and get better education.

At the eventorganized by Liberty Shoes Ltd. at Karnal, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal, (IAS)Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. of Haryana has presided over theevent for organizing the various welfare activities under CSR initiatives ofLiberty Shoes Limited for uplifting the life of poor and needy Girl studentsspecially.

Sh. AdeshKumar Gupta, CEO –Liberty Shoes Ltd. at the event has shared that “BETI BACHAO, BETI PADHAO,has successfully spread all over India and this year Liberty Shoes Ltd. hasalso aligned & dove tailed its CSR activities and identified few of similarwelfare activities aimed at uplifting the poor and needy Girl Child, empoweringwomen and Girl Child students and also self-sufficiency to the needy Girl Childetc. residing within the vicinity of Gharuanda & Karnal. Some of thewelfare activities that were organized in the above event are distribution ofCycles and School Bags to poor and needy Girls students and Water purifiers toSchools situated in and around the Gharaunda & Karnal plant of the Companynamely Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Gharaunda, Govt. Middle School,Jamalpur, Govt. High School, Shekhpura, Gharaunda.

He alsoshared his views that “education plays a great role in the life of everyone allthrough the life. However, the education of the Girl child is very important.If we give education to a boy, we give education to an individual, but if wegive education to a girl, we are giving education to an individual.”

He alsoshared that CSR initiatives has been mandated w.e.f. 1st April,2013 but Liberty Shoes Limited has been doing these activities much before theabove period as its welfare activities for the betterment of thesociety.
