Lowe’s India announces donation of 1.2 million rupees to SOS Children’s Villages India
Bengaluru, 19th December 2017: Lowe’s India, the global in-house center of Lowe’s Companies Inc., a FORTUNE® 50 home improvement company headquartered in Mooresville, NC, U.S., today announced the donation of INR 1.2 million to SOS Children’s Villages, as part of its ongoing commitment to serving communities in India.
Phase 1 ofthis commitment came to life as Lowe’s India inaugurated the basketball courtin SOS Children’s Village in Bannerghatta road today. Since its inception in2014 in India, Lowe’s has extensively engaged with communities and will soon beannouncing new projects with other community partners in the coming months.
Inauguratingthe basketball court, Mr. James Brandt, Managing Director – Lowe’s Indiasaid, “With a purpose to help people love where theylive, we at Lowe’s strongly believe that social responsibility is afoundational characteristic of our culture.
