MCFC announce special section for away fans

Mumbai, Dec 12: Mumbai City Football Club becomes the first team in the history of the Hero Indian Super League to create a dedicated section for away fans during its home matches at the Mumbai Football Arena.

In an effortto accommodate the supporters of the away teams who play in our Arena, thisfacility will be available to fans starting Sunday, December 17 in TheIslanders’ next league fixture against ATK.

Commentingon this initiative, Mumbai City FC co-owner Ranbir Kapoor said, "I amreally glad that we could be the first team in the ISL to have taken thisprogressive step towards supporting the fan culture in our country. It willmotivate the away team supporters to flock to our Arena in numbers to watchtheir favourite teams live in action. We believe this move will create a greatatmosphere in the stadium and I am quite sure the fans will definitelyappreciate our latest effort to promote football and enhance the fan experiencein our home stadium."

“We aredelighted to have a special section for the visiting team’s fans,” said MumbaiCity FC’s CEO Indranil Das Blah. “It will not only bring a great atmosphere inthe stands with both teams getting cheered on but will also ensure the safetyand comfort of the away fans, allowing them to have a great, hassle-freematchday experience at the Mumbai Football Arena,” he added.

Thededicated section for all away supporters will be Stand 4B which will beaccessible via the main gate 1 and the inner gate 8. A total of 200 seats willbe allocated to the away supporters’ section and the tickets for this sectionwill be available on BookMyShow under a special category today onwards.

Mumbai CityFC beat Chennaiyin FC 1-0 at the Mumbai Football Arena on Sunday, December10 courtesy a goal from midfielder Achille Emana and now have 7 points from 5games so far, with two wins, one draw and two losses.
