Mixed bag for Harika on day two of Reykjavik Open
Reykjavik, April 21: It was a mixed day for Indian Grand Master Harika Dronavalli as she drew one and won one on day two of the Reykjavik Open being played here at the Herpa Concert Hall late on Thursday night.
World No.11Indian who started the day at the back off an easy win could not maintain hermomentum in the second round as she played out a draw against Canadian FIDEMaster John Doknjas.
In her nextgame, she was up against English Candidate Master Alan J Walton. The Gunturlass playing in black pieces eased past the Englishman in just 27 moves.
Harika willnow take on another English lad Martin P Burrows in the fourth round, whoscored an upset victory of higher ranked Swedish Grand Master, Erik Blomqvistin his last game.
Even thoughMartin is lower rated than Harika, the Indian Grand Master will be wary off theEnglishman, who will look forward to carry his good run of form into hisencounter against Harika.
