Namma Bengaluru Award’s 2018 Finalists’ Announced!!!

March 22, 2018; Bengaluru: Namma Bengaluru Foundation’s flagship initiative – ‘Namma Bengaluru Awards’ aimed at recognizing, honouring and celebrating the Real Heroes of Bengaluru has shortlisted 41 finalists’ in the following categories for this year’s awards.

  • Citizen of the Year
  • Media Person of the Year
  • Government Official of the Year
  • Social Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Rising Star of the Year 

The theme ofthis year’s awards (in it’s 9th Edition) is ‘ReclaimingBengaluru’. Apart from the above-mentioned categories, an award will bepresented to the most outstanding contribution by a Bengalurean in the year2017 – The Namma Bengalurean of the Year. In addition to the awardspresented by the esteemed jury comprising of 23 revered Bengalureans, NammaBengaluru Foundation will be felicitating citizen groups as Championsof Namma Bengaluru. A grant of Rs. 1,00,000 each will be allottedduring the year 2018 – 19 to these citizen groups for their on-groundactivities. 

The esteemedjury has selected 7 to 10 nominees Out of thousands of nominations received, asfinalists in the 5 categories. These finalists have interacted with thesub-jury over the last few weeks. The winners will be announced at a gala eventon March 25th, 2018 at Mangala Auditorium, NMKRV College, Jayanagar3rd Block.
