Navrasa Duende Classic Movie Festival concludes with a tremendous response

New Delhi, June 26, 2018: The second edition of the Navrasa Duende Classic Movie Festival, came to a close on June 24, 2018 following three days of film screenings and stimulating discussions on movies. The film festival in its second edition featured a notable line-up of international classic movies from Sweden, India, Russia, Italy, France, USA, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Held from June 22 to June 24, 2018 at New Delhi’s Siri Fort Auditorium the festival attracted huge thumbs up from cinema lovers. Movies like bicycle thieves, Doctor Zhivago and Jalsaghar received the warmest response from both experienced and young audience.

Lots of themwere seen all three days watching half a dozen back to back movies. Therestored version of movies and an exclusive community feeling made it a veryexperiential event. The audience were smitten by the extraordinary range ofhuman journeys these movies offered! 

The moviesthat were showcased at the festival included: Norman Jewison's Fiddleron the Roof, Ingmar Bergman's Wild Strawberries, MarcelCarne's Children of Paradise, Andrei Tarkovsky's Ivan'sChildhood, Victor Fleming's Gone with the Wind, AkiraKurosawa's Throne of Blood, Satyajit Ray's Jalsaghar,Victorio De Sica's Bicycle Thieves, and David Lean's DoctorZhivago. The collection of films at the Navrasa Duende Classic MovieFestival covered a variety of genres, from revered movies considered milestonesof the neo-realistic cinema movement along with blockbuster, multipleaward-winning classic movies.
