NIMHANS buzz with children’s Brainobrain Fest

Bangalore, July 30: Rajajinagar centre which has won 17 medals in various competitions has won overall championship in Karnataka Brainobrain Fest held in NIMHANS on Sunday.

Over 1200 students from different parts of Karnataka took part in day long mental arithmetic calibre competition. 221 competitions were held in different levels and different age groups. They aged between 4 to 14 years. 850 children were given the prizes in 10 different levels apart from team prizes.

Basaveshwaranagar and JP Nagar 2nd phase centre have shared 2nd place. Gowribidanur and Raichur have won third and fourth places respectively.

Live demo by the children on their mathematical abilities was the highlight of today’s day-long event. They handled multitasking so easily and solved multi problems in one go. Children competed among themselves to solve problems instantly.

Renowned Aerospace scientist Padma Vibhushana Dr Roddam Narasimha presented the prizes to the winners. While appreciating children’s effort he advised them to work as their heart says.
