PCSC honours Nippon Paint for reskilling and certifying 20,000 painters across Tamil Nadu
Chennai, January 19th 2020: Nippon Paint (India) Private Limited (Decorative Division), Asia Pacific’s leading paint manufacturer today received honours from the Indian Paints and Coatings Skill Council (PCSC) for helping over 20,000 painters achieve the RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) certification under the TNSDC (Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation) scheme.
Nippon Paint had provided these painters free professional painter’s training at the company’s PROceed Training Academy and thereby helped them obtain the TNSDC certification. Through its painters training academy, Nippon Paint is armed with the necessary capacity and resources to carry out such an initiative. The training focused on equipping the painters with the necessary skills required to meet current industry requirements and help them move up the value chain as qualified professionals.A total of 20,000 painters have received the TNSDC certification so far, that recognize them as Professional painters.
