MallickBrothers (7th October) - Prashant and Nishant Mallick popularly known as‘Mallick Brothers’ belong to the illustrious music family of Darbhanga Gharanawhich is more than 450 years old music tradition and they represent the 13th generationof the musical lineage that has produced many musical masters. MallickBrothers are among the finest Dhrupad vocalists in the realm of HindustaniClassical music. With their soulful voice and powerful singing style, they havedeveloped into artists of great maturity and are considered the torchbearers ofthe new generation in Dhrupad music. Their vocal rendition of Dhrupad carriesthe richness of Gauharbani and Khandarbani style, which is unique and carriesrich aesthetics

WadaliBrothers (8th October) – PuranchandWadali and Pyarelal Wadali –Born into the fifth generation , the Wadali brothers are Sufi singersand musicians from Guru Ki Wadali in the Amritsar District in Punjab who sing in the gurbanikafighazal and bhajan genresof music. 

With a deepbelief in Sufi tradition, they consider themselves as a medium through whichthe preaching of great saints are passed on to the next generation. Recentlythey stepped into the world of Bollywood music, rendering music director andwriter Gulzar’s soulful lyrics in their unique style in the film Pinjar, Dhoop,Mausam and Tanu weds Manu.
