‘RUN FOR FITNESS’ Attracts Fitness Enthusiasts in the Neighbourhood of New BEL Road, Bangalore

November 27th, Bangalore: Run For Fitness, the first ever Fitness Festival organised by Elite Fitness and Wellness Club, located in New BEL Road, MLA Layout, Lottegollahalli, Bangalore was launched on the ocassion of the first anniversary of the fitness centre, on 26th November, 2017. Mr.Devraj Prabhakar Prasanna, Professional Fitness Expert, Elite Fitness & Wellness Club was the torch bearer of Elite Fitness Flag for the 5K RUN and the 2K Walkathon. The event was flagged off by Dr. Jeevak Shetty, Assistant Professor, Paediatric Surgery at M S Ramaiah Medical and Teaching Hospital. The 5K Run and 2K Walkathon started off with interesting warm up sessions like Yogasana stretches and Zumba for the participants by the fitness experts at Elite.

More than200 participants, young and old, men, women andchildren, with an interesting number of senior citizens whotook the 2K Walkathon participated in the fitnessfestival. The event was supported by top brandslike Bisleri Vedica, Dassons and Anoop Ceramics. Themain attractions of the event included Fitnesscontests like Iron Man and Iron Lady and interestingactivities for kids.

Addressingthe gathering, chief guest, Dr. Jeevak Shetty, Assistant Professor,Paediatric Surgery at M S Ramaiah Medical and Teaching Hospital said,“I'm happy to see that people are taking interest in fitness. At the end of theday, it starts with you, you have to take the decision to stay fit and then,take that first step towards achieving it. Fitness is 80% diet and 20%exercise, what you put in your body is extremely important. Stay away fromprocessed food and go back to the natural way of eating is my biggestsuggestion about good health”

Speaking onthis occasion, Mr. Devraj Prabhakar Prasanna, ProfessionalFitness Expert, Elite Fitness & Wellness Club said,“According to WHO (World Health Organisation), Physical Inactivity is a leadingcause of disease and disability. Clearly, a lot of these healthailments can be prevented, by moving your body, sweating itout and staying fit! This Marathon resonates with our idea ofattaining good health by staying physically fit and emphasizes on thesignificance of moving out bodies and sweating it out, to beat the stressbuild-up caused through our tight work schedules and busy lives!”

The focus ofthe event was to spread awareness about achieving a balance betweenour strenuous lives and health and working towards a physically activelifestyle. Through this event, Fitness experts at EliteFitness & Wellness Club emphasized on the need for Integratinghealth and wellness into our schedules in order to take control of our health.
