Siddaganga Hospital and Research Centre (SHRC) Launches Shikshak Aarogya Scheme
Tumakuru, September 14, 2019: To commemorate Teacher’s Day, Siddaganga Hospital and Research Centre (SHRC), a leading super-specialty hospital in Tumakuru announced the launch of ‘SHRC Shikshak Aarogya Scheme’ for teachers today in the presence of Sri Sri Siddalinga Mahaswamiji, Pontiff - Siddaganga Mutt, S. Suresh Kumar, Primary & Secondary Education and Sakala minister of Government of Karnataka and G.B. Jyothi Ganesh, MLA Tumakuru. More than 300 teachers from Tumakuru participated at the event, out of which 15 senior and accomplished teachers were recognized and felicitated for their valued contributions in the field of education.
The scheme, following the saying “Tasmai Shree Guruve Namah”, will cover all teachers currently employed in private and government educational institutions across Karnataka. SHRC Shikshak Aarogya Scheme will ensure discounts on OP/IP investigations, bed charges and cashback on consultation charges on fixed days of the week.
SHRC Shikshak Aarogya Scheme is intended at providing treatment to all in service teachers and will also ensure health benefits post their retirement. However, teachers currently retired are not eligible for the scheme. The scheme will cover self, spouse, two dependent children and dependent parents (either parents or In-laws).
Speaking on the announcement of SHRC Shikshak Aarogya Scheme, Sri Sri Siddalinga Mahaswamiji, Pontiff - Siddaganga Mutt said, “Teachers are one of the strongest pillars of the society who impart knowledge and wisdom to all youngsters growing up to become responsible citizens. It is our duty to look after their health and wellbeing. In line with our aim to make world-class healthcare accessible to all, I am delighted that SHRC has launched SHRC Shikshak Aarogya Scheme with an aim at providing complete health benefits for all the teachers across Karnataka through regular checkups, treatments, therapies, etc.”
