SONA POLO ON A WINNING SPREE – LIFTS THE YES BANK INDIAN MASTERS POLO 2018 TROPHY

New Delhi, November 28, 2018: A balmy Sunday afternoon saw Delhi’s cognoscenti descend at the Jaipur Polo Ground to witness SONA Polo fight it out with Rajnigandha Achievers in one of the most anticipated finals of the Delhi Polo season. Sunjay Kapur’s team SONA Polo emerged winners of the YES Bank Indian Masters Polo 2018 (14 Goals) tournament beating Rajnigandha Achievers by 5 goals to 2. Abhimanyu Pathak of SONA Polo was adjudged the “Most Valuable Player”, while “YR-7” Padmanabh Singh’s mare was declared the “Best Polo Pony” of the match. This is the 7th edition of the YES BANK Indian Masters Trophy.

Mr Nikhil Sahni, Group President, MNC, Corporate Banking, Government Banking and Strategic Govt. Advisory, YES BANK presented the trophy to the champions along with a host of dignitaries. Spotted in grandstand were the British High Commissioner, Sir Dominic Asquith with wife Louis, New Zealand High Commissioner, Joanna Kempkers with husband Tim Markwell, Ambassador for Sports, French Ministry of Sports, H.E. Philippe Vinogradoff, Niira Radia, Naveen Jindal, Aryama Sundaram, Adhiraj Singh, Chitrangada Raje, Mrighanka Singh, Gurpal Singh Sandhu, Devyani Jaipuria, Jaisal Singh, Rajeev Talwar, Devika Singh, Shweta Rathore, Parul Sharma, Gargi Rawat, Jeeva amongst others.

After successfully presenting the YES BANK INDIAN MASTERS POLO for the past six years, YES BANK proudly associated with the King of Sports for the fifth successive year as a patron of the sport which represents the glorious heritage of India.
