The 3 Day IT Handloom Mela organized by FMC concluded
Hyderabad, 23rd December, 2017….. The 3 Day IT Handloom Mela organized by FMC concluded on Thursday night. Held at Art & Cultural Centre--Phoenix Arena, Besides Dell Office in Hitech city was a huge hit informed Satyanarayana Mathala, President of FMC in a press note issued to the media on Friday.
Aninitiative of Facilities Management Council(FMC) Telangana, theprofessional body of Facilities Management industry in the Telangana State,“Over a three day period, a handloom sale of around Rs 8 lakh has taken place,he said.
There are400 IT/ITes companies in the city and more than four lakh employees work inthem. If they all start wearing handlooms atleast once in aweek on Monday, it will receive huge fillip to the handlooms wearve,Satyanarayana Mathala stated.
JayeshRanjan also requested all the IT employees to wear handloom dress onevery Monday, stated Satyanarayana. During these 3 days therewas a total footfall of ten thousand employees visited the 40 plus stalls.
FMC isactivity working with Government of Telangana to encourage Handloom Mela infeature. FMC formed a core team to organize the handloom Mela’s in various ITparks for the year 2018. Our objective is to cover all the IT parks in andAround Hyderabad, informed Satyanarayana. We are working hardtowards this. We made all our members take pledge that they wearHandlooms clothes only on Monday. Everyone must encourageand support to uplift handloom industry to restore its last glory, saidSatyanarayana.
