The Association for the Mentally Challenged celebrated UTSAV ‘17
Bangalore, 27th February 2017: UTSAV’17 was celebrated at The Association For the Mentally Challenged (AMC) on Saturday, 25th February 2017 at the AMC campus.
The day saw a flea market with food trucks, stalls and performances by the juggler, Mr. Arjun and magician, Mr. James. In the evening, it was equally enthralling for the parents, beneficiaries of AMC, donors, corporate partners and all the well-wishers with musical performances by the Walking Violinst - Aneesh Vidyashankar and Bangalore Band – B#Sharp.
class="MsoNormal">The band performed popular, foot tapping songs from Bollywood, post which artist Aneesh Vidyashankar & troupe took the stage to mesmerise the audience with his soulful renditions of popular songs and fusion music.
The event saw Mr.Jairaj, I.A.S (Retd.,) - President of the AMC Committee welcome the guests and Guest of Honor, Dr. Madhusudan H.V. - Chief Neurosurgeon, H.O.D. Neurosciences, B.G.S.Gleneageles Global Hospitals. The new AMC logo was launch by Dr. Madhusudan.
On the occasion, Mrs. Vani Manohar - Hon.Secretary Association for the Mentally Challenged said, “UTSAV ’17 was organised to celebrate the AMC cause and reachout to the public for more support. AMC believes that a better integration with the society can make a big difference in tending to these individuals and improve the quality of care for the needy. We look forward to society’s active participation in caring for the mentally challenged and help create more awareness about the challenges these individuals and their families face in leading a life of dignity.”
