Ujjivan Small Finance Bank launches Aadhaar enrolment and updation service at designated branch

Bangalore, December 05, 2018: Ujjivan Small Finance Bank (SFB) introduces Aadhaar enrolment and updation service in selected branches in Bangalore to provide yet another convenient facility to its customers. It is the only bank in the SFB category to provide such a service in the country. In phase-I, Ujjivan SFB has enabled the facility in five branches - HSR Layout, Chandra Layout, Whitefield, Koramangala and Uttarahalli. This facility will soon be available in all Ujjivan SFB branches across India and can be availed by everyone including non-Ujjivan Bank customers.

The Aadhaar enrolment service is free of cost while the updation is chargeable at a nominal fee. To avail Aadhaar services, one needs to carry two documents for verification - the original identification proof and address proof.

Speaking on the announcement, Mr Samit Ghosh, Managing Director & CEO, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Ltd. said, “We are pleased to introduce Aadhaar enrolment service in our branches in Bangalore. This inclusion makes us the only Small Finance Bank to provide this service in bank branches. This is yet another facility that has been added for the convenience of our customers. Ujjivan SFB will soon be a one-stop solution for both banking as well as Aadhaar enrolment service and this is the reason why we voluntarily applied for the Aadhaar enrolment licence.” 

Ujjivan Small Finance Bank started its banking operations in February 2017. Today, with 300+ branches, Ujjivan SFB has established its presence across 24 States and Union Territories.
