Vatsalya launched five Indian and one International Fashion Designer
Delhi 1st May 2018: On the last day of Third Asian Designer Week, Vatsalya Charitable Trust for Education organised the third season of the Design Bloom Fashion Week in Bikaner House New Delhi. In this eason, six new designers were launched by Vatsalya.Among them, there were five Indian designers as well as one International designer from Myanmar, Burma. Designer Bloom competitiondoes the task of finding out hidden fresh talents which is made possible by the Vatsalya Charitable Trust for Education.
Two hundred students from ten different fashioncolleges/institutes registered for this summer season of the Design BloomCompetition. In the Competition, Sustainable fashion from DeepikaRathi-International College of Fashion of Design Zone Academy, Eco fashion fromInspired Collection by Ritika Raj- Janki Devi Vocational Centre, collectioninspired from Shangri La Paper and inspired collections from SMOGwere listeddown. From the freelance category by Jury, KislayKumari had worked onAquamarine. Sananyam Jain worked on Avant-garde-Blue and My Sandre (Myanmar)along with working on Merky. Vatsalya launched the integration of India-Myanmarembroidery and traditions. Marti Theme was presented as well as Indo-Burmanculture was also portrayed in this event.
The chairman of Vatsalya Charitable Trust for EducationShree Kapil Kishor said “ Vatsalya does not only provides a ramp to thestudents, it also gives them ample opportunity to make contacts in the globalmarket. By joining hands with all our sponsors, we first unearth hiddentalentsand then we polish it up.”
Famous fashion photographer Rohit Suri organised theshoot of the outfits of the selected designers and Shivangi Kishor TrustVatsalya directed the Design Bloom programme.The event was closed with variety entertainment programme and a display oftalent from Myanmar (Burma) by Marti Theme as well as the exhibition ofIndo-Burman Culture.
Design Bloom Compeition is one of the many designingcontests in India where a student while studying “gets direct entrance fromdesign school to fashion school”.
