Vikram Hospital in association with Lions Club organised two-day comprehensive Health Check-up
Bengaluru, June 1, 2017: Vikram Hospital, Bengaluru’s trusted quaternary care and multi-specialty health facility in association with Lions Club, Sanjaynagar today organised a two-day comprehensive health check-up camp for BMTC Union members. The health camp was organised for Depot No.7 at Majestic Bus Stand. Led by a team of doctors and nurses from Vikram Hospital, the camp catered to 800 union workers including drivers, conductors and cleaners.
The campprovided basic health screening of vitals, BMI, Blood Pressure, Random Bloodsugar, ECG and doctor consultation.
Commentingon this initiative Mr. Sudhir Pai, Executive Director & ChiefExecutive Officer, Vikram Hospital said, “As a socially cognizantorganisation and a part of Alambana Trust and Medical foundation, it is ourcommitment to provide access to quality healthcare to all. The two-day camp wasa huge success and we came across patients who were delighted to seek andreceive advice on their medical conditions. These bus drivers have aresponsible job of transporting thousands of people each day facing innumerableobstacles under inexorable pressure. We are happy to partner with Lionsclub in organising and conducting this health camp for the benefit ofbus drivers”.
He furtheradded, “During the camp, we came across many drivers suffering from piles,heart ailments, hypertension, sugar etc and our doctors provided much neededconsultation to address the health woes”.

We understand that the bus drivers are constantlyexposed to pollution, dust, adverse climatic conditions and such health campsare important to assess their health and take preventive & correctivemeasures”.
