Yuho Mobile launches latest smartphones in Guwahati
Guwahati, November 16, 2017: Gurugram, Haryana-based Chinese mobile phone company Yuho Mobile announced its presence in the North-East on Thursday.
The companylaunched its latest range of Android smartphones at a Guwahati hotel onThursday. Commenting on the launch, Rajeev Tiwari, Business Head,Distribution Sales at Yuho Mobile said that the company, inpartnership with Guwahati-based mobile distributor Orrion Infotronics, islaunching three models –Y1, H1, U1 – in the Northeast market. “Weare pleased to announce our presence in the Northeast India. Our targetcustomers primarily would be people who are possibly fence-sitters in thefeature phone segment but eagerly anticipating an opportunity to enter thesmartphone segment. We offer the price advantage to make this target audiencereadily buy smartphones from their nearby retail outlet. Our product isdesigned to offer the best of 4G experience on the Android platform,” saidRajeevTiwari, Business Head, Distribution Sales at Yuho Mobile.
The phoneslaunched on Thursday were priced between Rs 6,000 – Rs 15,000. Themodels promise long battery life, one touch access to all apps, special privacyfeature and protective back cover for break-free assurance. The smartphonecomes in 1GB, 2GB and 3GB RAM variants with premium quality. The company isserving 555 days service warranty for its customers.
Talking tothe media during the launch, Michael Wu – General Manager, Yuho Mobile,said that the primary business objective at the outset is to provide the rightproduct, at the right time, at the right price and forge a strong businessrelationship. “More than capturing market share in the category, wewould like to consistently build equity through positive word of mouth via 2main channels – retailers and end customers. This can be possible throughkeeping the basics right and constantly value-adding to the product andservice, coupled with strong messaging through offline and online mediums. Fromthere on we are looking at YoY growth to the tune of 25%,” said MichaelWu – General Manager, Yuho Mobile Private Limited.

In the 1stphase of brand launch in select markets of north and east India, the company istrying to achieve a retail reach of 7,000 outlets. “In the 2nd phase,the estimated target is to be present in 10,000 outlets pan India. A totalbusiness topline of Rs 1000 crore by 2018 should keep us in good stead,” RajeevTiwari added.
Yuho MobilePrivate Limited is a JV between UCT Worldwide and Captain ChanpreetSingh. UCT now has 24 licensed patents, software and other intellectualproperty rights. UCT has been awarded ‘Dual Software Enterprise’, ‘NewHigh-tech Enterprise in Shenzhen City’, ‘National New High-tech Enterprise’ andother titles. The JV has already started operation in India and plans toinvest approximately Rs 500 crore over the period of 2 years. This investmentwill go into setup of pan India operations, sales, after sales and distributionnetwork, marketing and production.
