Bangalore is all set to experience the adrenaline filled- KTM RC Cup – India’s Largest Racing Championship

  • The KTM RC Cup enters the Silicon Valley of India – Bangalore.
  • 150+ raced on company-provided KTM RC 390 GP edition motorcycles.

2nd March 2023, Bangalore– The world’s No. 1 premium motorcycle brand, KTM conducted the selections round of the KTM RC Cup, India’s largest racing championship in the Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore, at the Meco Kartopia. The RC Cup is a part of KTM Pro-XP’s endeavour to offer KTM owners the experiences that make them pro riders.

KTM, the READY TO RACE brand has a long 70 years of history in motorsports, with 334+ world championship titles across all racing formats, like Dakar, MotoGP, Motocross (MX), Supercross (SX), and Enduro.
 
The registration for the Bangalore championship were received with great aplomb, and around 150+ racers experienced the thrill of riding the ‘Ready to Race’ KTM RC 390 GP to the finish line. The top 10 fastest lap times selected from Bangalore for the Qualifier round were – Rohit Lad, Abhishek V, Anish Shetty, Ashwin R, Varun Patil, Lani Zena Fernandez, Pradeep C, Hari, Mohammad Junaid Akhtar, Lokesh VThe RC Cup will move to its next selections round in Coimbatore this weekend (4,5 March 2023) for selections, followed by Chennai in the upcoming weekend
 
The stages of KTM RC CUP:
  • Selections: Race Academy and Selections across City – Coimbatore, Chennai
  • Qualifiers: The top 10 from each of the eight cities will contest in the Qualifiers held in Chennai
  • Finale: The top racers from the Qualifiers will race at the Finale of the KTM RC Cup
The top 3 winners of the KTM RC Cup will win a visit to the global HQ of KTM in Austria, and the prize includes:
  • Training with the Race Director in Austria
  • Interaction with KTM Factory racing athletes
  • Watch a MotoGPTM race live at the Red Bull ring.
  • Visit the prestigious KTM Motohall
Ex-MotoGP racer Jeremy McWilliams with two podium finishes in the 500cc class and a win in the 250cc class is the Race Director for KTM RC CUP. Emmanuel Jebaraj, a seven-time National INMRC Champion and the founder of Gusto Racing, India, is the Race expert throughout the competition.
